Filming Blog: Bittersweet

On Sunday, October 25th, I started the filming process for my Kiss Eyelashes commercial. On this day I did my in-house takes for the commercial, which didn't go as smoothly as I thought it would. When I got dress and did my makeup, I unfortunately had to redo my makeup three times because it was not exactly how I wanted it to be. For some reason I just was not satisfied so I just removed all the eye make up and took a breath. When I came back with a clear mind, I redid my makeup and it came out decent. After I finished getting ready I set up my tripod so that I could start filming. In between takes I accidently pushed over my tripod and it ended up breaking. Since it was raining really bad outside, I couldn't go out to go buy another one and on top of that, I was home alone. So, I had to enact my backup plan. I called my a few of my relatives and none of them could come and help me. But, my last call was to mom to see when she would get off of work and in my favor, she came home in less than an hour. So, I had to delete and refilm a few takes, which was fine because my mom was a good camerawoman. In the end, I sifted through all of the takes and deleted the ones I knew I would not use. That was it for Sunday. On Monday, October 26th, I woke up to clear skies. I checked my weather app to see if I could film and I saw that there was a zero percent chance of rain for that day. Excited, I called my mom to see if she could film my outside shot and she said yes. When she got off of work, I put on my outfit and I was ready as soon as she came home. We filmed some angles outside of the beauty supply store and then we went home to sift through those takes as well. I was ahead of my schedule plan...

See you in the next one!
