Introduction to the Music Video Project

 I've decided to work with myself for this project. I made this decision because when the final task comes, I will most likely be doing it by myself then too and I'd like to be prepared for that. I wouldn't have a easily accessible way to get to my partner if I did choose to do it with someone else. Also, I wanted to work by myself because I like to have creative control when doing these projects. In choosing a song I had trouble with picking, because when the assignment came up, I automatically had song ideas pop in my head. When it came down to picking, I narrowed my choices down to Eternal Sunshine by Jhene Aiko and My Future by Billie Eilish. After debating over the course of a few days, I picked my song. The song I chose for this project is My Future by Billie Eilish. I chose this song because I resonate with it the most. One of the main lines in this song is, "I'm in love with my future, can't wait to meet her." Which means that instead of focusing on external factors, 'she' focuses on what she will become and what she will do to become the best version of herself. Another line says, "Just want to get to know myself." I feel that I, as well as many teens can relate to the lyrics of this song. As teenagers, all we do is think of our futures and hope that they shine bright. We all wonder what the future may bring and we wish to see where we'd be in just six months from now. We often contemplate the meaning of life. I feel that with this song, I can clearly convey a message without going over the time limitation of one minute. While I will be filming this project, a family member will be my actor. I made this choice to convey a message that I could not fully do if I was personally in each shot. Since I can't be in two places at once, this is the next best thing. I can direct to display FULLY, my ideas I wish to bring to life.

Editing is not my absolute favorite part of filmmaking as of now. I only say this because I'm not very good at it yet and that bothers me. Finding props for the final task

 My next task is to find props for the final task. The main thing I had to get was a few photo copies from my local Walgreens. Minor things I had to get were cereal boxes, picture frames, etc. As for the photo copies, there was a bit of difficulty finding a place to print them. Before I learned that I could print them at a convenience store, I had no idea where to go. First, I tried printing them at my house. But, on regular printer paper. This was a total fail. My printer barely had any colored ink and the picture came out black and white. It also came out with very low quality and very pixelated. So, I had to do a bit of searching on the internet. I needed to find out where I could get the best quality pictures for a low price. I went on a few websites, but all of the pricing was too high. Then i went looking in my local area.  Hello to anyone out there reading this. My name is Taelor Barnes and I am a 16 year old. I have an older sister and a dog that has grew up with me since my parents first got her when I was 6. Academically, I am in the eleventh grade at Fort Lauderdale high school. Since ninth grade I have been waiting to take this class; it is one of the most intriguing courses I've heard about and discussed with my guidance counselor. Many of my friends have taken it in prior to the 2020/2021 school year and they have only had good things to say about it.
