Filming/editing blog: Problems with storage

Sadly, when I got ready to edit my music video, I found out that I did not have enough storage left on my phone. Meaning, some of the takes I recorded did not save fully, nor was the quality good on them. Furthermore, those clips were rendered useless because I could not dump them onto my with that quality. So, the beginning stages of editing had came to a halt. Thankfully, most of shots I took were of good quality and were able to be uploaded to my computer. So, what I did was dump the footage that was taken on my phone, on my computer. Then, I deleted that footage from my phone so that I could have enough storage to reshoot the end of my music video. So, another problem I came into contact with was finding a day my friend wouldn't be busy with school work. This week being the week we came back to school and we lived about an hour away from each other. After switching around our schedules, we came up with a plan. She would make her way to my house immediately after school on Wednesday afternoon.  When I finally began to film on Wednesday, I realized that I also wanted refilm some of the beginning shots as well because they didn't end up how I envisioned them to be. This being the case, we were able to do multiple shots from different angles. I decided that this would be he best idea I the long run, for editing, since I would have different options. As well as a chance to edit as fluidly as possible. With the patience of  us both and my friend lending me her phone so that I could shoot some shots, we finished rather quickly. Her willingness to listen to me and to try her best to portray what I had envisioned was admiring. I would definitely have her as my subject in  another project with her if I get the chance. After dumping all the new footage onto my computer, I hope for smooth sailing when I get deep into the editing process.

See you in the next one!
