My Pitch

My Pitches:

Pitch 1: A teenager is home alone while their parents are on vacation and although they think this is a good opportunity to do whatever they want, there is someone who has other plans for them.

This is my first pitch that I thought of when assigned this task. I honestly don’t want many scary movies because I get paranoid easily but I love the behind the scenes of them. The raw process of filming before editing is so cool and deconstructing a horror/suspenseful movie is fascinating to watch. So, I thought this would be a good film idea for me to produce. Also, in filming this, it would be one of the safest routes to go because it requires very few people to star in it. Meaning less of a chance of getting anyone sick or worse. I could have members of my immediate family to help if needed and we live together, so that’s a plus. This video could be done within the parameters of my house. I feel that this is also well within my capabilities to do. I already have some idea of how I’d do it.

Pitch 2: A teenage girl's bestfriend dies a tragic death that she blames herself for; now, she has to try to find a way to live with herself while knowing what really happened to her friend.

I feel that doing this film idea would challenge me, but it would also be within my capabilities. This is the second pitch I thought of and it is just perfect for me to do, in my opinion. When thinking of how I am going to approach this film, I have so many different ideas for it. It’s like when I got thought of this pitch, and there was like a lightbulb went off in my head. This is a video that can be done with minimal people. I’d be able to do it with 2 of my friends at the most and it can be filmed within my house. If need be, my family members could be subjects in the movie. This film idea is practical and I have the means to do it. I am just going to have to sit down and brainstorm how I’d break it down scene by scene, to satisfy the rubric.

In the end, I chose the second pitch for my final task and I am happy with it. See you in the next one!
